Success: Just The Next Step Away

Ever sit and contemplate your journey thus far? Sometimes there is a discrepancy between previous hopes and dreams and the reality we find ourselves in. Sometimes we are reminded, “It’s about the journey not the destination.” Getting to that desired destination can seem painstakingly long and tedious. Let's just skip it and get to the good stuff, right?

We start out in life eager, motivated, determined. Goals precise, actions deliberate. We go around sharp corners, bumps, swing across mountain ravines to ultimately climb that one mountain, but maybe it's a different mountain. Change course. We encounter challenges we never could have dreamed of. The journey, the one that gives you bumps, bruises, concussions, maybe some broken bones, a broken heart and maybe even a fragmented soul.

Yet it softens our edges and rounds our character. We have fallen down, dusted off more times than we would like to admit. We keep going, we keep going. Sometimes we give up right before something amazing happens, it just takes one more little push. With that one push we realize that our experience and journey was exactly what we needed to catapult ourselves to our greatest destination we may have only previously dreamed of.

The journey is an amazing story of courage, perseverance, discipline, grit and hope. Our stories will never define us. We can stand on them, share them and act as a light and inspiration for others. Keep going...
